Simply Southern are just that.
Guys who cook out a tasty blend of southern music that's lacking in our beloved
section of the south. Good ole bar room southern rock with a "boogie woogie" style is getting harder and harder to find these days, but these
guys are here to fix all that. These boys can deal out a slow, hip huggin' country tune and then back it up with some ballsy rock & roll that'll leave ya beggin' for more! Southern Rock
has always played a part in each band member's life since childhood. What could
be better than actually performing the songs you've always listened to? Best of
all, Simply Southern is not in this line of work for money, but for our fans. You could play for a thousand bucks a night and it wouldn't mean a thing without the
great people who come out and make it all worth while.
Fronted by singer/guitarist/songwriter Casey Jones, the band also features veteran keyboardist Glenn Jiles. Glenn has played with
many local Atlanta area groups ranging from
Doug Stone in his early years to
Mr. Meaner and
Area Code 404
among others. Guitarist Jay (Byrd) Jones (brother of singer Casey
Jones), bassist Fred Mortus and drummer Alan Crowe complete the
unit.
It's been several years now, and the band still rocks better than ever before. There's
a definite brotherhood amongst us all, and we wouldn't change a thing if we could.
We'll always be dedicated to bringing you (our fans) the best in southern rock that
we possibly can, and we hope to continue for many years to come.
